Transforming Adult Education: Share Europe's Latest Erasmus+ Project

Introduction


Share Europe Network Association (SENA) is embarking on a transformative journey with their new Erasmus+ KA1 project in adult education, titled "Compartir Europa - Capacidad Digital de Entrenadores en Realidad Virtual" (Share Europe - Building Virtual Reality Digital Capacity for Trainers). This initiative, starting on June 1, 2023, and concluding on March 31, 2024, aims to enhance the digital capabilities of adult educators, focusing on the innovative use of virtual reality (VR).


Project Overview


The Erasmus+ KA1 project, under the Action Type KA122-ADU, is a short-term mobility initiative designed to improve the skills and knowledge of educators in the field of adult education. Hosted in collaboration with ASOCIACION DE INNOVACION EMPRENDIMIENTO Y TECNOLOGIAS DE LA INFORMACION Y LA COMUNICACION (INNETICA) in Spain, the project will involve 15 participants over a period of 12 days.


Objectives and Goals


The project is driven by several key objectives:


  1. Expand Digital Capacity: Enhance the digital skills of trainers, focusing on creating and using VR content.

  2. Professional Development: Develop the capacity of teaching and administrative staff to deliver high-quality training and mobility experiences.

  3. Cultural Awareness: Improve understanding and awareness of European heritage and diversity among participants.


Activities and Training


The core activities will include:


  • 360-Degree Visualizations: Training on capturing and processing high-quality panoramic images and videos.

  • Interactive Content Creation: Equipping participants with the skills to create engaging and interactive educational materials.

  • Digital Communication and Logistics: Improving digital communication and organizational skills to optimize project outcomes.


Expected Outcomes


Participants are expected to gain practical skills in:


  • Creating VR scenarios and high-quality visual resources.

  • Using digital platforms for content creation.

  • Understanding and utilizing VR and augmented reality technologies.

  • Teaching effectively using innovative digital methods.


By the end of the project, participants will have created at least 500 visual resources and 75 educational products, significantly enriching the educational content available on platforms like iedu360.eu.


Quality Standards and Evaluation


The project adheres to the Erasmus quality standards, ensuring:


  • Inclusion and diversity.

  • Environmental sustainability.

  • Active participation in the Erasmus network.


Participants will be selected based on their skills, experience, and commitment to personal and professional development. Their progress will be evaluated through questionnaires, practical assessments, and the production of educational materials.


Sustainability and Dissemination


SENA is committed to integrating the results of this project into their regular work, ensuring long-term benefits for their organization and the wider educational community. The results will be shared through various channels, including the Erasmus+ network and collaborations with educational institutions across Europe and Africa.
