Day 1 of the "Compartir Europa" Training Course: A Comprehensive Overview

Introduction: The "Compartir Europa" training course, a part of the Erasmus+ project, kicked off on November 6, 2023, in Zaragoza, Spain. The program, organized by the European Network "Share Europe" and INNETICA, aims to enhance the digital capacities of trainers in virtual reality. Day 1 set the stage for an intensive 10-day journey of learning, collaboration, and cultural immersion.


Morning Session: 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM: Opening Ceremony The training commenced with an official opening ceremony where participants were welcomed and introduced to the program. Key figures from the organizing bodies shared insights about their organizations and the overarching goals of the project. This session included:


  • Introduction of the Training Program: An overview of the course structure, objectives, and expected outcomes.

  • Presentation of Instructors and Participants: Facilitators and attendees shared their backgrounds, fostering an initial sense of community.


Key Highlights:


  • Welcoming Remarks: Representatives from the European Network "Share Europe" and INNETICA highlighted the importance of digital capacity building in the realm of virtual reality.

  • Participant Introductions: Each participant introduced themselves, sharing their professional background and expectations from the course, setting a collaborative tone for the days ahead.


Afternoon Session: 1:00 PM - 6:30 PM: Program Presentation and Discussions After a break for lunch, the afternoon was dedicated to a detailed presentation of the training program, including an in-depth discussion on various aspects of the course.


Key Activities:


  • Program Overview: Detailed explanations of the daily themes and the logistics involved in each session.

  • Objectives and Expected Outcomes: A comprehensive breakdown of what participants should achieve by the end of the training, both qualitatively and quantitatively.

  • Photography Techniques: Introduction to the photographic techniques that would be used throughout the training, including practical applications in different thematic areas such as history, geography, and biology.


Discussion Topics:


  • Selection of Objects for Photography: Strategies for choosing subjects that best represent the themes of the training.

  • Scope and Quantity of Photography: Defining the breadth and depth of photographic work required.

  • Team Division and Leadership: Formation of teams, each with a designated leader, to facilitate smooth operations during practical sessions.

  • Logistics and Equipment Handling: Instructions on the use of various technical equipment necessary for the training.


Evening Session: 7:00 PM - 8:00 PM: Dinner and Informal Socialization The day concluded with an informal dinner, providing an opportunity for participants to network and socialize in a relaxed environment. This was crucial for building camaraderie and a supportive learning atmosphere.
